Grizzly Bear 399 Legacy

Grizzly Bear #399 wasn’t just any grizzly bear. Frequenting the roadsides in Grand Teton National Park, she had become the most photographed grizzly bear in the world. Prior to her tragic death in late 2024, both her and her offspring were the highlight for countless numbers of people who visited the area, most even just hoping for a glimpse of the mighty bruin. Defying all odds and surprising her fans and admirers year after year, Grizzly Bear #399 wasn’t just a favorite animal of the area, but an icon of wildlife conservation. The gentle giant had thus become the poster child for expanded preservation and continued efforts to expand protected lands not just for scenic beauty, but for the health and well-being of wildlife as well. With her progeny continuing her unparalleled legacy, this gallery includes her offspring as well, such as Grizzly Bear #610, and many others.
