One of my favorite hikes while living in Arizona was Bear Mountain in Sedona, Arizona. It starts out in the high desert among the sandstone, red cliffs and juniper trees and eventually climbs up on top of the limestone up into the pine trees at the top. Another from Havasupai in the archives. This one is of the more famous Havasu Falls, one of the most photographed waterfalls in the world. Havasu Creek pours over a 100 foot cliff into spectacular turquoise pools in the midst of a high desert canyon. The area now, however, looks nothing like this.… Keep reading...
With fall right around the corner here in Jackson Hole, I started digging out some of my fall leaves shots from Arizona.
