I am excited to present to you my very first time-lapse compilation! I shot my very first time-lapse video in December of 2010 and couldn’t wait to build up enough to begin working on a complete video, stringing other time-lapses together. I got in my video-editing software yesterday and immediately began working on it amidst some web design work. Everything felt so intuitive and exciting that I can definitely see myself doing much more video in the future!
The video itself was shot completely in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming between December of 2010 and January of 2011. I had been building up one time-lapse after another, as many of you who keep up with my blog are aware, but I was looking for some consistent way to string them all together. I see a lot of great time-lapse videos out there that are just one unrelated shot after another, which no matter how great they are, eventually cause me to lose interest. As a result, I was looking for something a little more solid that would get people to continue watching, if only for up to three minutes.
I was browsing for Creative Commons music and came across a brilliant track called Land of Legends by zero-project. I listened to a few seconds and immediately knew it would be absolutely perfect for the video! It all wound up coming together in half a day and I only just uploaded it this morning.
I hope you enjoy and I definitely accept constructive criticism, especially with this being my first "official" time-lapse video.
