The first big stop on the way into Yellowstone National Park from the South Entrance is the West Thumb Geyser Basin. There’s all kinds of opportunities at any geyser basin for abstract photography, but for some reason I’m continually drawn to West Thumb, perhaps because it’s right on Yellowstone Lake.
